Katie Passerotti (she/her) is an educator by trade and an author by choice. Her fantasy stories feature fierce girls on fantastic journeys to discover their truest selves and the found family that welcomes them. As an educator, Katie has taught for 17 years in a high school ELA classroom. She utilizes her knowledge of educational theory and best practices to help her students think critically, find their voices, and become life-long learners.

As a life-long learner herself, Katie has attended myriad writing classes, conferences, and workshops. She loved the content she received from authors and publishing professionals, but without educational theory, the classes weren’t as impactful as they could have been.  This led her to create The Scribbler’s Den—a place where writers can share their craft knowledge with fellow writers and receive guidance on how to sequence and pace their lessons in order to develop a meaningful curriculum. This process allows writers to share their knowledge and gives fellow writers the tools they need to level up their writing skills.

When Katie’s not writing or designing curriculum, she’s exploring the forest with her Irish Wolfhound Bellamy or curled up with a warm cup of tea and a good book. For more information on her writing, please visit her website
