Research indicates that clearly stating your intentions at the beginning of learning helps you to focus on what you want to get out of a course. It sets you up to be more focused, more open to learning, and increases engagement.
I encourage you to take a moment and think about why you signed up for this class. This doesn't have to be long. But do try to be specific. Make a list of 2-4 things you're excited to learn and how learning these strategies will enhance your writing career. Feel free to use the template provided or free write in your favorite journal.
